Lin Xiaoman, an orphan living in a dilapidated temple, suddenly gains the ability to communicate with animals. When a demolition team threatens to tear down her only home, she teams up with stray cats, an old dog, squirrels, and other "animal allies" to fight back—cats scratch up the demolition plans, the dog steals tools, and a turtle trips the team’s truck, barely fending off the first attack. But when the demolition boss produces "legal documents," she discovers a clue about the antiques her grandfather left under the temple—and the animals have known this secret all along, waiting for her to uncover it...
