Lin Wan, a female researcher, returns from an Antarctic glacier expedition, only to face a double betrayal: her fiancé is having an affair with her best friend, and together they’ve forged a contract to steal her five-year research成果——a glacier ecological restoration patent. Faced with the hypocrisy of her former lover and pressure from interest groups, Lin uses the rationality and sharpness unique to scientists to fight back: she secretly collects chat records to expose lies, uses professional data to crack the patent tampering loophole, and even traces the clues to uncover the behind-the-scenes capitalist tycoon. When the truth is revealed, she wants more than just reclaiming her成果—she’s fighting a lonely battle to defend her original intention that “science should never be a tool for profit.”
