On Kongcang Mountain bordering the Great Chu, there grows the deer herb—said to resurrect the dead. Healer A Zhao has guarded it for ten years: it’s the sacred plant her clan died to protect, and the only cure for her father’s killer. Then Shen Mofeng, a cold swordsman, raids the mountain, sword to her throat, demanding the herb to save his master. They start as deadly enemies but end up guarding the mountain together. Yet when the herb sprouts, a devastating truth emerges: Shen’s master is the “Ghost-Faced General” who massacred A Zhao’s family years ago. When her lifelong duty clashes with the man she loves, will A Zhao choose the herb… or him? And will Shen betray his master for her?
