"Escape at Dawn" follows Su Xiao, a daughter of a bankrupt财团, who goes undercover as a maid in the Lu family manor to investigate her father's death. She reunites unexpectedly with Lu Jingshen, the Lu heir and the "Dawn Boy" who saved her a decade ago. Just as she secures key evidence, Lu imprisons her, warning, "The person you're chasing can take down the entire Lu family." In the final two hours before dawn, they flee pursuers through the manor's secret passages while uncovering secrets: Lu recognized her all along—his "imprisonment" is to keep her safe. And the killer Su seeks is tied to the truth of Lu's mother's death. When morning light breaks, what they're escaping isn't just danger—it's the ten-year-old confession: "I dared not tell you, I've always loved you."
