Lin Xiaoman, desperate to reach her terminally ill grandmother in time for what could be their final New Year reunion, can’t get a high-speed train ticket—so she bites the bullet and takes a goods-carrying horse-drawn cart into the mountains. There, she crosses paths with Chen Mo, a rough-hewn truck driver. One’s a teary “city princess,” the other a gruff-yet-kind “mountain tough guy.” They go from bickering to braving a blizzard together—pushing a stuck truck, sharing the last warm bun. When they finally burst through the door to the sound of New Year’s Eve firecrackers, they’re shocked to find out: they’re the “childhood fiancés” Grandma has been talking about for 20 years! A chaotic journey “on horseback” leads to the warmest reunion… and accidentally opens both their hearts.
