In the dying "Chu Liu Theater", manager Lin Zhixia (played by Lin Zixuan) stumbles upon a dusty ten-year-old play script *Daydream*—a posthumous work by Wu Mo (played by Wu Tianhao), a once-celebrated actor who suddenly quit the industry after a performance accident. That night, a glowing script drags her into a "dream theater", where she meets Wu Mo trapped in his memories—his soul is locked in the unfinished plot due to guilt over the accident. To free Wu Mo and save the theater, Lin Zhixia is forced to be a "temporary female lead" and reenact every scene of *Daydream* with him.
