Lin Xiaoman, a corporate worker, picks up a cute "little dumpling" late at night, only to find this four-and-a-half-year-old baby is actually a demon lord who escaped to the human world to avoid disaster—and the yellow dog with him can communicate with yin and yang and sense evil! The little demon's magic is unstable: one moment he turns her instant noodles into a feast, the next he attracts demon enemies who nearly destroy her rental home. The dog even drags her to help wronged spirits, forcing the socially anxious Lin to become a "yin-yang mediator" overnight. When the little demon's true nature awakens and he must choose between "returning to rule the demon world" or "staying human", Lin realizes: she's long seen this baby and silly dog as the "home" she'd fight to protect.
