Zisu, the Queen of the Underworld, accidentally falls into the 21st century due to a soul-transit ritual error, becoming Su Xiaotang, a senior college student. She plans to fix her soul contract and return to the Underworld quickly, but runs into Gu Jingchuan—once a "resentful soul" she punished in a past life, now her overbearing boss. As Zisu's Underworld powers awaken in modern times, every use causes "accidents": making a bully's coffee cup "fly" to the floor when helping a classmate, almost blowing up office lights during a fight with Gu. Gu doesn't remember his past life, but feels an instinctive "familiar hostility" towards Su, clashing with her while being drawn to her直率ness. When Su finally finds a way back, she discovers Gu's soul holds a piece of her lost primordial spirit—leaving would make him vanish. Between her millennium-old duty as the Underworld Queen and her newfound love, what choice will she make?
