Shen Molan, an illegitimate daughter of the Hou Mansion, survives by her exceptional perfume-making skills—only to be framed by her stepsister: her fiancé is stolen, and her only perfume shop is burned down. In despair, she meets Gu Zhao, a blind perfume connoisseur who can "read hearts through scents". Once a legend in the perfume world, Gu Zhao now lives incognito due to an old disaster. He invites Molan to revive the dying "Guixu Perfume Pavilion", but the stepsister continues scheming—even unearthing the truth: the perfume disaster that blinded Gu Zhao years ago was caused by the Shen family. As they navigate crises, they redeem each other: Molan thinks she’s a "bitter orchid" chasing light alone, but Gu Zhao’s trust becomes her light; Gu Zhao thinks his life is forever dark, but Molan’s perfumes let him "see" the meaning of living again. When the truth comes out, can they hold onto each other’s light?
