Narcotics officer Xu Mingzheng tracks a cross-border case to the border, unexpectedly reuniting with Zhang Zhen, his former comrade who went missing five years ago—the man he once expelled from the team for “betrayal.” Now Zhang Zhen is an informant wandering in the dark. With resentment and unspoken concern for each other, they are forced to join hands to uncover the true face of the mastermind. As the truth about the failed mission years ago and Zhang Zhen’s reasons for going into hiding gradually emerge, they look at the vast world before them and realize that some bonds never fade with time.
