Lin Dahua, a straightforward Northeast girl, heads to Dongguan with a sauerkraut jar to avenge her best friend scammed by a cheat. She smashes the cheat's milk tea shop—only to crash into Chen Mo, owner of the neighboring tea restaurant. Chen Mo, a native Dongguanese with a gentle, slow-paced manner even when arguing, insists on meddling in Dahua's 'righteous mission.' Dahua despises his 'wishy-washy' Southern style, but when he helps retrieve her friend's money, she finds this 'softie' has a tough side for protection. When Northeast boldness meets Dongguan's slow life—is it a clash, or an unexpected harmony like sauerkraut with shrimp dumplings? A justice-seeking trip becomes a mutual healing for two souls from north and south.
