Wuchen (played by Wu Yuancheng), a Buddhist disciple who has kept his vows for ten years, has his peaceful mind stirred when he saves Huang Zijun (played by Huang Zijun), a girl hunted by enemies. Huang's straightforward passion is like a fire, burning through his tightly wrapped monk's robe—he hides her father's relics, accompanies her to search for medicine to save her father, and even when she's tied to the execution ground, he stands in front of the altar with a razor in hand and shouts: "Buddha wants me to cut off all emotions, but I'd rather—defy Buddha than lose you!" Between the Buddha he's worshipped for ten years and the girl he'd risk his life for, can this "rebellious" love survive the blades of the world?
