Su Xiao, an 18th-tier extra, took a role as the "drowning female lead" in a Pei Group custom drama to raise money for her grandma's surgery. During the deep pool choking scene, she almost passed out and was only saved when the director yelled "cut". But after filming, not only did she not get the 100,000 yuan remuneration, but the assistant also threw a line: "Mr. Pei said your acting is so bad, you should pay us instead." Desperate, Su Xiao blocked the entrance of Pei Group, only to bump into Pei Jingshen—the rumored "cold-blooded business阎王 (Yama, god of death)"—who turned out to be the down-and-out man she saved three years ago, eating cold instant noodles outside a convenience store on a rainy night! Is he deliberately defaulting on the payment to retaliate, or is he hiding an unspeakable secret?
