Lin Wan, a cold forensic scientist, is forced to work with her estranged sweet sister Lin Xiaoman after a homicide at Xiaoman’s dessert shop. Xiaoman, holding taro mud crepes to chase suspects and using sugar frosting to reconstruct the crime scene, turns Wan’s “hardcore investigation” into a sweet “sugar-coated deduction.” But as clues unfold, the sisters discover the murderer is linked to their parents’ accident years ago. When the bitter truth closes in, Xiaoman’s sweetness becomes Wan’s warmest armor, and the “bitterness” Wan hid behind her scalpel finally melts into a ten-year-late tenderness in Xiaoman’s homemade taro balls.
