Lin Shen, an investment bank elite, returns home at midnight to find a divorce agreement and an empty wardrobe left by his wife. Chen Mo, a veterinarian, receives a 'breakup letter' from his wife on their anniversary, saying 'I want to live for myself.' Zhou Yang, a chef, cooks his wife's favorite braised pork only to get a note: 'I'm gone, don't look for me.' The three 'abandoned husbands' meet in a bar, form 'The League of Abandoned Husbands,' and vow to uncover why their wives 'changed hearts.' But they soon discover a unified secret behind the 'abandonment'—their wives secretly joined an overseas rescue project for critically ill children and chose to 'disappear' to avoid worrying them. When the men catch sight of their wives holding sick kids in the hospital, they realize that the so-called 'abandonment' is just the stupidest way their lovers hide the warmest care.
