Lin Shen's wife Su Xiao, a female commander of the fire brigade, returns victorious today after leading a rescue mission in the disaster area three months ago. But as he greets her, he notices her bulging abdomen—they haven't been intimate for half a year! Shocked and furious, he demands the truth, but Su Xiao only weeps and murmurs "I'm sorry". Then a prenatal checkup form slips out, and the words "Donor: Chen Mo" hit him like a thunderbolt—Chen Mo was Su Xiao's fallen comrade and Lin Shen's childhood best friend. It turns out Su Xiao saved Chen Mo's mother in the disaster zone, and the dying old woman begged her to give her late son an heir. Su Xiao hid everything and underwent IVF. When the truth comes to light, Lin Shen finally grasps the promise Su Xiao kept for her comrade and the unspeakable agony behind her "triumphant return".
