Elite investment banker Gu Nanfeng targets "Zhiwei Zhai", an ancient book restoration shop run by Wen Liangzhi, for his old town renovation project. He uses business tactics to pressure her into moving, while she fights back with unwavering conviction—to honor her late master’s wish and preserve the warmth of the old alley. In their clashes, they uncover secrets: Gu’s "coldness" hides guilt over his late grandmother, a loyal patron of Zhiwei Zhai; Wen’s "stubbornness" is to guard the "last trace of human warmth" left by her master. When profit clashes with the warmth of original intentions, Gu finally halts his expansion for Wen, and Wen melts his frozen past with tenderness. Together, they protect the ink fragrance of ancient books and the deep affection in the old alley.
