Mo Yuan (played by Ye Haoran), a thousand-year-old fox demon, was cursed for saving a human years ago—he must obtain the "pure yin maiden's" moonlight kiss on the millennial full moon night to break the spell that would scatter his soul. He targets Lin Xiaoman (played by Jia Yixuan), a quirky intern reporter, and pretends to be her neighbor to "trick" the kiss. But as he helps her chase news and fend off troubles, he falls in love for real. On the full moon night, Mo Yuan discovers the cost: Xiaoman will forget him completely. Worse still, the evil cultivator who cast the curse appears, threatening that if Mo Yuan doesn't act, Xiaoman will bear the curse instead. Between his life and Xiaoman's memories and safety—who will the moonlight kiss land on?
