Lin Xiaoman, a down-and-out pianist, sells her beloved piano to raise money for her mother's surgery and rents a shabby old house in an alley. Every night, she practices on a second-hand electronic piano she found. Her music in the winter nights attracts Gu Shen, the reclusive landlord—her first love who disappeared a decade ago due to a misunderstanding. It turns out Gu Shen lost his hearing in a car accident while protecting Xiaoman, making him unable to hear piano sounds ever since. When the dusty misunderstanding is uncovered by the winter wind, can the broken strings of the piano play their old times again?
