Su Xiao, a wedding planner whose company is on the verge of collapse, has to find a "temporary boyfriend" to film 30 days of love vlogs for traffic to save her business. She targets Lin Chuan, a programmer who once consulted about a wedding—a love-averse introvert dumped by his ex. They sign a "no-emotions agreement," but gradually cross the line during their daily "performances": Lin stays up all night to fix Su's crashed planning PPT, Su secretly swaps Lin's rigid shirts for soft beige ones; even when filming a "proposal" scene by the sea, when Su stumbles, Lin instinctively rushes to hold her—their heartbeats syncing in the sea breeze. But on the 29th day, Su discovers Lin is an undercover from an investment firm, and Lin finds Su's "temporary boyfriend candidate list" too. On the final day of the countdown, as they stand under the original lighthouse, just as Su is about to say "the agreement is over," Lin pulls out a ring: "I want to change this 30-day countdown to a lifetime with you."
