Lin Xiaoman, a socially anxious girl who just graduated and lost her job, goes to Dongguan to live with her sister Lin Wan, a beauty live streamer. However, Lin Wan is in a career slump due to a黑粉 scandal claiming she "recommended skin-ruining products"—her live stream has no viewers, and she's hounded by collaborators for debts. When all seems lost, Xiaoman unlocks a "close encounter superpower": she can hear others' true needs when in close contact—like the黑粉 actually used a fake product, and the collaborator is desperate to buy a birthday gift for his daughter. She musters up courage to help her sister: she helps the黑粉 get justice, customizes a beauty gift box for the collaborator's daughter, and makes Lin Wan's live stream popular again, even hitting Top 1 on the sales chart. But "close encounters" start draining Xiaoman's energy—she gets frequent dizziness, and her sister finds out her secret. Can the sisters get through this?
