Huang Tao, a newly transferred anti-crime police officer, sets his sights on the Chen Group, which has dominated Luocheng for a decade. Unexpectedly, he stumbles upon Zhang Ying, the “hidden sister” of Chen Mo, the group’s second-in-command—a quiet forensic doctor who holds the core ledger of the Chen Group’s money laundering. Traumatized by Chen Mo’s “protection” that kept her away from darkness as a child, Zhang Ying is wary of the police. Huang Tao must force her to hand over the evidence, yet can’t help being drawn to the unextinguished justice in her eyes. When Chen Mo discovers Zhang Ying’s “betrayal” and sends killers to hunt her down at night, Huang Tao clutches his burning handcuffs, suddenly unsure if he’s there to arrest her or save her. In this anti-crime battle, the deadliest thing isn’t the underworld—it’s their crossing hearts and the “family” mask they must tear off.
