Su Xiaotang became President Shen Mochuan's private chef by accident, just to raise money for her brother's surgery. Shen Mochuan, who has severe stomach problems from childhood trauma and never eats food from strangers, can't resist Xiaotang's home-cooked dishes—her tomato and egg noodles, red date congee carry the “warmth of home” that heals his 20-year-old wounds. But when Xiaotang finds her brother's medical bills anonymously paid, she mistakes it for Shen's “transaction” and runs away in tears. Meanwhile, Shen searches every old alley in the city for her, finally admitting: he's not looking for a chef, but the one who makes him drop his guard and want to share breakfast with for a lifetime. All the “favoritism” turns out to be his true heart hidden behind coldness.
