On Nanwan Island in midsummer, Su Wan (played by Xu Mengyuan), a wealthy heiress who fled her wedding, crashes into the life of Lin Shen (played by Zhang Hongming), a rough man guarding an old dock—she wants to demolish the dock for a网红 resort, while he risks his life to protect his father’s last memento. A sudden storm traps them in a lighthouse: Su Wan discovers this "rude guy" cooks delicious food and feeds stray cats at night; Lin Shen is shocked that the lady in a cocktail dress can squat to fix oars with him. When the business plan collides with the old ship ticket, and the scorching waves tear off all masks, they realize: the fiercest wave isn’t from the sea—it’s from the heartbeat.
