Lin Xiaoman, a lonely girl living alone, receives a strange call late at night—it’s her mother from ten years ago. Her mother died in a car accident before her college entrance exam, but on the phone, she’s still laughing about buying Xiaoman’s favorite osmanthus cake. Xiaoman desperately warns her “don’t go out,” only to find that every attempt to stop her makes her mother’s traces fade—even her childhood photos start to blur. Until the last call, her mother cries and reveals the truth: she’d already seen the future through the phone. This cross-time call was never about being saved; it was about saying “I love you” one more time.
