Lin Qingwan, a spirit-medium girl, wields an ethereal lotus lantern that ferries lost souls between realms. To save her childhood love Zhao Yanzhou, she braves the underworld only to discover he's masterminding a ghostly uprising. As lantern shadows flicker, a 300-year-old massacre resurfaces with wailing specters bleeding into the living world. While she nourishes the lantern with blood to illuminate the path through the afterlife, he sacrifices his essence to empower vengeful spirits. When the sacred lantern shatters, the ultimate question emerges: Will she purify the legions of phantoms, or become his eternal captive in the abyss?
