Lin Xiaoman, an intern Season Messenger tasked with awakening forgotten Season Spirits, mistakes Gu Shinian—a programmer developing a solar term culture app—for a "Spirit Thief" while tracking the Start of Winter Spirit. Gu seems to capitalize on solar term trends, but he’s actually trying to help Gen Z rediscover the romance of "spring germination and summer growth": his grandma, the last traditional solar term guardian, was mending the "snow floss pouch" for Start of Winter on her deathbed. When Xiaoman finds 365 unsent "seasonal greetings" (each a thought for his grandma) in Gu’s phone, and when the missing Start of Winter Spirit appears in Grandma Gu’s old yard, they realize: Guardianship isn’t about fighting modernity—it’s about letting the warmth of solar terms settle into everyone’s daily life.
