Returning architect Xu Lingyun is tasked with redeveloping the old town, only to run into his ex-girlfriend Xu Liang, who’s defending her family’s bookstore—ten years ago, he left without a word for his “dreams,” and now she shoves their old mementos into his arms, eyes red: “Are you even tearing down our memories?” Clutching the ginkgo leaf bookmark he gave her back then, he can’t say that he’s here to fulfill the high school promise: “I’ll build you a bookstore that never falls.” In the old alley’s evening breeze, between the demolition notice and the crumpled design draft lies unspoken truth—can they retrieve the love scattered by time amid the battle of concrete and sentiment?
