Food blogger Su Xiaotang hits rock bottom when her account is hacked, and accidentally gets a job at the shop of Gu Shiyan, a 'cold-hearted pastry chef' who rejects sweetness. They clash fiercely over the meaning of 'sweet'—Su believes sweetness is healing magic, while Gu, haunted by his mother's death, thinks sweetness is the most hypocritical flavor. From sabotaging each other to co-creating 'memory desserts,' they uncover each other's vulnerabilities: Su fears losing everything after trying hard, and Gu fears sweetness will awaken painful memories. Finally, a sugar frosting cake carrying his mother's flavor helps them let go of their knots, connecting their hearts with sweetness and turning the small shop into the warmest healing spot in the city.
