Li Yang, a taxi driver, is a retired 'City Night Hawk' special agent who has been lying low for three years. He lives an ordinary life with his old taxi but can't help 'meddling' when passengers are in trouble: helping a female white-collar worker escape from being followed, finding a lost grandson for an elderly man, and even foiling a transnational fraud gang's deal. However, this 'little better' ability gets him into trouble—his peers accuse him of stealing business, reporters are camping out to expose the 'mysterious taxi hero', and worst of all, the gang boss he sent to prison three years ago just got out and vowed to 'settle the score'. When his ordinary life is torn apart by storms, Li Yang has to face his past again—what's wrong with being a little better at driving a taxi?
