Lin Xiaochuan, the only village doctor in Taohua Village, is ostracized by villagers as a "superstitious freak" because he masters the "Thirteen Ghost Needles" passed down by his grandfather. Until a strange "living dead" incident hits the village—elderly villagers fall into deep coma for no reason, and Western medicine can't find any cause. Su Wan, a newly arrived female doctor, has no choice but to turn to Lin Xiaochuan. When Lin revives an old man with the needles, a 20-year-old secret is uncovered: his grandfather was framed and killed for saving the village, and now, the murderer from当年 is back, targeting the needle technique that can "bring the dead back to life" under the guise of "protecting tradition"...
