Gu Huai, a cold and aloof president of a catering group, has shunned "sweetness" due to a childhood trauma—until he tastes the osmanthus sugar lotus root from Lin Xiaoman’s lane-side snack shop. This stubborn girl, who says with a smile, "Sweetness wraps all bitterness," becomes the only exception in his dull life. But as Gu Huai grows dependent on this sweetness, he uncovers Lin Xiaoman’s secret: she’s in the city to find her missing brother, and his disappearance is linked to his father’s old project. Caught between an unshakable heartbeat and an insurmountable family rift, can they use "sweetness" to untie the knots of the past?
