Su Wan, a terminally ill illustrator, resolves to finish her book *The Firework Chronicles* in her last three months. She travels alone to an ancient town for inspiration, only to stumble into the lens of Lin Yan, a photographer. They clash over “fighting for the same firework shot” but gradually fall for each other as they fulfill each other’s regrets: recreating a 50-year-old firework wedding for a lonely elder, chasing a street fire with umbrellas on a rainy night, and painting the last “human fireworks” in an old alley.
