After working overtime to death, ordinary office worker Lin Wan wakes up to find herself trapped in the body of her great-grandfather, a young revolutionary about to head to the anti-Japanese war front in war-torn early 20th century China. A sheltered city girl struggles with everything from cooking a simple meal to dodging enemy planes and running underground liaison missions, while stumbling on the long-lost romance her great-grandfather once missed. Worse, she learns her time travel is no accident: the family's ancestral traditions hide a critical secret — fix her great-grandfather's fate, or her own modern life will vanish forever. What follows is a desperate cross-time journey of family redemption.
