Single mother Lin Xiaoman disguises herself as a fan photographer to sneak into top star Lu Xingyao's film crew, all to raise money for her daughter's surgery. However, she accidentally uncovers Lu's childhood trauma—fear of the dark. Using "secrecy" as leverage, Lu forces Lin to be his personal assistant. As they spend time together, they not only discover that Lu is the unexpected sperm donor father of Lin's daughter, but also that they were each other's "little starlight" who redeemed one another in childhood.
