38-year-old Lin Xiaomei secretly falsifies her age to join her college-entrance-exam-failed daughter Xiaotang’s repeat class; 40-year-old husband Chen Jianguo, whose company went bankrupt, disguises himself as a transfer student to track down the “alumni” who swindled his payment. Unaware, Xiaotang walks into the new classroom only to find her parents as “classmates”! The three are forced to “act strangers” in class—Mom fears the teacher will expose her age, Dad worries about being tracked by creditors, and Xiaotang struggles to hide their family secret. When the parent-teacher meeting turns into a “class reunion” and parent-child conflicts erupt during breaks, this chaotic “same-class farce” holds the most touching love: the bravest companionship is standing on the same “battle line” with you.
