Lin Xiaoman (played by Ge Xiaoxi), a modern architectural designer, accidentally travels to the Republican-era city of Gui Zhou by touching her family heirloom jade pendant, and bumps into Marshal Gu Zhaozhou (played by Zhang Yiyang), who is investigating a military grain theft.
