Su Wanqing guarded the border with Prince Chu Jingyao for three years. They vowed under the desert sky: "Love as our pact, may you remember me forever." She gave her whole heart, thinking it was a lifetime promise—until Chu's first love was abducted, demanding his "most cherished thing." He pushed Su to a man in black. That night, snow fell like blades. She tore the lovers' knot, blood on his boot: "You'll regret this." When Su disappeared, Chu found her prenatal medicine and half-written birthday note—then went mad searching. What he'd pledged wasn't a "thing"—it was the woman who'd taken arrows for him, brewed tea, and noted all his likes. All he found was half a jade pendant with their vow. But she never wanted "remembrance"—she wanted "forever in your arms."
