Lin Xiaoman, a clumsy carpenter from a small town, is mistaken for Liang Dong, a missing master architect, because they look identical. He’s dragged into the Su family’s inheritance dispute—only by restoring the “Pillar’s Eye” wood carving in the family’s ancient mansion can one claim the heritage. Forced to “pretend to be a master,” he struggles to maintain his “expert” identity with his basic skills, evades suspicion from Su Wan (Liang Dong’s daughter), and deals with scheming relatives. As the mansion’s secrets unfold with the restoration, can Lin’s “pretense” turn into real talent? And can his relationship with Su Wan survive the lie of his identity?
