Workaholic couple Wei Ruochen and Huang Yunyun are driven crazy by their rebellious, dropout son Xiaoyu. They mistakenly believe in the "Ancient Transformation" program that claims to "reform" kids and send Xiaoyu back to a Qing Dynasty peasant family. But a system bug drags the parents in too: Wei Ruochen becomes a poor scholar "father", Huang Yunyun a shrewd peasant "mother". Amidst planting rice and weaving cloth in ancient times, they uncover each other's masks: Xiaoyu rebelled to get his parents' attention; Wei Ruochen worked like mad for fear of failure; Huang Yunyun hid her softness behind harsh words. As the ancient days end, how will they bring the "real selves" back to modern times?
