Lin Xiaoman runs the "Paper Rose" flower shop left by her late husband Gu Shen. Her quiet life is disrupted by Lu Chuan, a man who looks exactly like Gu Shen, who claims to retrieve the family flower art recipe that Gu Shen "borrowed". From confrontation to hidden affection, Lu Chuan is touched by Xiaoman's tenderness, while Xiaoman struggles between seeing Gu Shen's shadow in Lu Chuan and accepting the real him. When the truth about Gu Shen's death is revealed, Lu Chuan's identity is closely linked to that accident—and the "paper rose" holds not only Gu Shen's unspoken last words but also Lu Chuan's inescapable past.
