The last clue to her brother’s disappearance leads to a warehouse fire three years ago that killed three firefighters. Intern reporter Tian Miaomiao, disguised as a nanny, knocks on the door of “hero firefighter” Chen Zhengyang—he’s the only survivor of the fire and the “insider” she’s seeking. A charred work ID in the attic at midnight, an unsent suicide note in the drawer, a lighter identical to her brother’s flickering outside the window… Every probe feels like a red-hot wire piercing an old wound. But when the “murderer’s” silhouette starts to mirror each other, they realize: compared to the truth, the harder thing to face is the heartbeat that draws them closer in the burning night.
