Gu Yanshen, president of Gu Group afflicted with a rare "Hot-Poison" that can only be relieved by the body temperature of Su Qingyan, a cool medical student, forcibly detains her by his power. Gradually, he is drawn to her tenacity and fragility. Su pretends to comply to escape prison-like captivity and take revenge on those who once bullied her. Their relationship subtly changes through nightly blood-mingled kisses. Eventually, Gu is cured of the poison, eliminates all enemies, and realizes he has long been trapped in love with his "exclusive temperature regulator".
