Lin Xiaoman thought she was betrayed by her boyfriend Gu Chengyu's "cheating lie"—he said he fell in love with someone else and wanted to break up, shattering their three-year love into pieces. Heartbroken, she vanished without a trace, leaving only an unfinished diary. Three months later, Gu found the diary and learned the truth: Xiaoman had long known he had lung cancer, the "new love" was his attending doctor, and her disappearance was to let him treat his illness without worry. But when he frantically searched for Xiaoman, a hospital call brought devastating news—Xiaoman's leukemia was in the final stage. She had known she wouldn't live long, so she used "betrayal" to make him let go. Two people in love pushed each other away with lies, and when they woke up, they had already missed the most precious time.
