Lin Xiaoman, a soft-spoken girl known as the “fragile flower” in the neighborhood, wanders the alleys with an old doll “Xiao Kui” in her arms, even the convenience store aunt gives her an extra candy. Until one day, she撞见 Gu Chuan, a new职场 recruit, surrounded by debt collectors—this usually timid girl suddenly shoves her doll into Gu Chuan’s arms, then turns around and takes down five or six thugs with sharp kicks and elbows, moving like a completely different person. Gu Chuan soon discovers the secret hidden in Xiaoman’s doll: three years ago, she was a national combat champion who retired to protect her injured master. Now, to keep “Xiao Kui” (her master’s last gift), she has to fight again. Gu Chuan’s arrival not only makes Xiaoman face her past fears but also teaches her a new lesson—sometimes, “being protected” takes more courage than “fighting alone.”
