Monsoon Circulation: Lovers in the Loop

Cheng Xiaoman, an intern at the meteorological station, has been trapped in a 'precognitive loop' every year on the monsoon onset day for three years—she receives an anonymous letter in the morning detailing every encounter of her day, including meeting Lin Shen, an archaeologist, at the old alley. But every time she tries to ask, 'Do we know each other?', a rainstorm sweeps Lin Shen away. On the fourth monsoon, a line of wobbly handwriting is added to the letter: 'This time, don’t let me disappear.' Following the letter’s clues, Xiaoman finds Lin Shen’s notes and learns that three years ago, on a monsoon night, Lin Shen was buried while saving her from an archaeological site—their souls are trapped in a monsoon-driven loop, and the only escape is Xiaoman saying the 'I like you too' she never got to utter back then.
