Su Wan, the former "Top Chef Under Heaven," was killed in a fire by her best friend over a rare recipe. Reborn as a mistreated, foolish illegitimate daughter of a general's family, she regains her past-life culinary skills and stuns the capital with her "Peony Swallow Dish." This attracts Lu Yan, a cold-faced food inspector—he claims to investigate her "stolen recipe" but always protects her from bullying. As Su Wan uncovers the truth about her past death, she learns Lu Yan is the street boy she saved in her previous life, who has now eliminated all threats for her. With the kitchen as her battlefield and him as her shield, a sweet revenge game fueled by food and love begins.
