Su Wan, a critically ill picture book artist, has shut her heart off due to heart failure—until gentle neighbor Gu Shen quietly steps into her life. He helps her close her stall on rainy nights, fixes her broken paintbrushes, and accompanies her to watch fireflies by the sea. Just as Su Wan begins to embrace this warmth, she discovers Gu Shen is a top cardiologist from abroad—and the little boy she saved years ago. But her illness is already in its final stage. Fearing she’ll burden him, she pushes him away, yet he holds her hand and says, “You gave me the courage to live back then. Now it’s my turn to stay with you, even if we only have one day left.”
