Lin Wan, a Beipiao fashion designer, takes a job restoring old Peking Opera costumes to raise money for her mother’s surgery. There, she reunites with Gu Zhao—the boy who saved her a decade ago, now the troupe’s struggling leading actor fighting to keep the debt-ridden group alive. As their feelings rekindle in the winter opera house, Gu Zhao secretly agrees to a marriage alliance with a sponsor’s daughter to save the troupe. Lin Wan catches him at the engagement party, believing he’s betrayed her, only to find the surgery money and love letters full of “wait for me” hidden in the costumes.
