A Jin, the last love gu master of the Miao village, is ordered to cast a love gu on Gu Zhao, a foreign young lord who comes for revenge. Yet she falls in love with this "enemy" first while taking care of his severe wounds. Little does she know, Gu Zhao's sword is drawn for his family killed by the Miao's gu art years ago, and her gu is a desperate gamble to save his life. When the truth of revenge shatters the lie of love, the gu's backlash begins: either kill each other to break the curse, or die together. As A Jin carries the dying Gu Zhao to the Miao sacred tree, the jade pendant she hid for the boy ten years ago falls from his arms—turns out the little beggar she saved back then has long become her "enemy".
